il cyborg divina :: The Cyborg Divine

Cover thoughts: Image

The cover was a sort of combination of punk and anime. It was definetly eye catching but I couldn’t say I loved it. It didn’t seem to match the story but it was pretty 🙂

This was a short novella. It was one of the many in the series.

It was in poetry form and flowed very eloquently.

It was confusing at first and then all the pieces fell in place and it was easy to understand. The way it was told was cool and more different than what I usually read. Since the main character was a cyborg, it was like a machine was documenting its life in the first few pages. The middle was interjected with a point of conflict and cool literary elements like letters and mechanical codes. It was quite engaging. The story then progressed with all the elements of a true story being thrust in: love, sacrifice, and destruction.

I could easily see how this could be a full blown story. It was a nice, engaging read. The ending was beautiful as it was told by the scientist Quinn and it could not have been more perfect.

All together, a very satisfying novella and it would be ten minutes well spent if you read this.
